About Devin Worster

I am a practicing internal medicine physician, public health leader, and advocate focused on transforming health and social care, working across the nonprofit, public, and private sectors. Through clinical training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, master’s at Harvard School of Public Health, as a Clinical Scholar at Weill Cornell, and as State Director at Partners In Health (PIH) – United States, I have worked to bridge clinical medicine, public health, and community health by targeting the social and structural factors that impact health. With PIH-US, I accompany public sector, systems, and community partners to elevate, integrate, and invest in the community health worker workforce and strengthen healthcare and public health systems to reinforce health as a human right. In this role, I provide strategic leadership and innovative vision, lead internal teams, engage diverse coalitions of external stakeholders including state government and community partners, and secure funding for and implement programs to strengthen delivery of care and social care networks. I previously served as Program Coordinator for Noncommunicable Disease and Palliative Care with Compañeros En Salud in Chiapas, Mexico, designing, implementing, and evaluating chronic disease and community health worker delivery models. As a physician at Weill Cornell and Lower Manhattan Hospitals caring for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond, I have a deep understanding of the NYC healthcare delivery system landscape and drivers of health disparities. As a researcher and evaluator with skills in quantitative/qualitative analysis and continuous quality improvement, I leverage evaluation for research, programmatic, and policy change.
