I’m an instrumentation and controls engineer who’s spent the past 25 years working where the electrical, mechanical, and human systems all intersect.My path’s been unconventional—U.S. Navy radar tech turned shipfitter, turned facilities engineer, turned robotics and process-controls specialist. I’ve built, maintained, and modernized everything from guided-missile radar and embassy HVAC systems to datacenter cooling units and beer-brewing lines.Whether it’s tuning a PID loop, tracing a fault in a 50-year-old control panel, or aligning a new system for production, I approach it the same way: stay calm, stay methodical, and document everything.I’m fluent in Japanese (JLPT N2) and comfortable leading or collaborating in international teams. The environments may change—naval ships, Tokyo robot shows, or Washington factories—but the mindset stays the same: precision, safety, and curiosity.If it involves sensors, logic, or power flow, I’m in my element.

   Commissioning and controls integration for the modernization and upgrade of the Sea-Tac Airport baggage handling system (BHS). Responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and validating PLC-controlled conveyor and sortation systems supporting high-throughput airport logistics operations.• Commission and validate PLC-controlled baggage handling equipment including conveyors, sorters, drives, sensors, and safety systems• Troubleshoot controls, electrical, and network issues during installation and startup phases• Work with field electricians, mechanical teams, and system integrators to bring subsystems online and into coordinated operation• Perform I/O verification, device testing, and system functional validation• Support system commissioning, fault diagnostics, and performance optimization of large-scale automated material handling infrastructure
