About Devin McElhenny
Seeing individuals flourish, teams thrive, and organizations reach new heights is what energizes me most. I started my career in fashion as a buyer at J.Crew, channeling my ability to bring order to chaos and my love of self-expression through clothes. Driven by my passion for understanding human behavior, I made a career pivot and got my master’s degree in Applied Psychology at NYU. It was during my time at NYU that a fire was lit within me as I learned about the transformative power of coaching and diversity, equity, and inclusion. I became fascinated by how intentionally creating inclusive environments & the right coaching dynamics can unlock innovation and drive meaningful change. I found my way from fashion to the world of indoor farming, where I discovered the right blend of innovation, sustainability, and community impact. Today, I’m lucky to lead the charge in DEI and Learning & Development at Bowery Farming. Bowery’s mission is to revolutionize the way we grow and distribute food, ensuring that fresh, healthy produce is accessible to all while reducing our environmental footprint. We do all of this while staying scrappy and nimble, embracing our inner farming rebels!
