About Devin Manning
Experienced Process Engineer. I am a licensed engineer intern (E.I.) with a background in chemical and process engineering. My work experience has mainly been in the oil & gas industry, including both offshore upstream and onshore midstream sectors, with areas of specialization in: front-end engineering design; design basis development; conceptual block flow diagram development; process flow, safety flow and piping & instrumentation diagrams development; process simulation development; detailed process engineering/design (vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, control valves, piping & instrumentation); overpressure scenario analysis; relief device sizing; flare & vent systems design. I have performed research under the mentorship of Dr. Adam Melvin at Louisiana State University’s Cain Department of Chemical Engineering for three and a half years. My experience includes designing experiments, performing data analysis, culturing cells, working independently and as a team member, and creating standard lab procedures for experimentation.I have one summer internship experience for ProSys, Inc. I worked on a multi-discipline controls system project serving a major refinery client involving DCS and PLC platforms, alarm management, software design, collaborating with internal and external personnel, and presenting work to clients in project meetings.
