ABOUT DEVIKA ARUN PUTHRAN
I am currently pursuing an MSc in Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Liverpool, with a strong academic and practical focus on oncology and translational medicine. My dissertation research investigates Q61 RAS mutations in Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML), where I work with cell culture models and techniques including MTS assays, Western blotting, and flow cytometry to assess drug sensitivity and signalling changes. Alongside my research, I am actively engaged in cancer-related volunteering, contributing to awareness initiatives and community involvement. I also regularly participate in scientific symposiums, where I present and discuss ongoing research in pharmacology, toxicology, and oncology. Through these experiences, I have developed a solid foundation in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication. I take particular interest in the interface between laboratory science, therapeutic innovation, and real-world health impact.
