PCC Hydrogen (a spin-out from PCC) is focused on developing an innovative low carbon intensity hydrogen and syngas production process from ethanol- Led technology and intellectual property strategy, driving development of proprietary hydrogen and syngas production processes from ethanol, and oversaw design and build of commercial-scale production plants- Acted as board observer and technology liaison during a $20M Series A fundraising round, supporting investor engagement and techno-commercial due diligence- Conducted comprehensive commercial due diligence on advanced energy and industrial decarbonization technologies to support investor pitches and strategic decision-making- Developed a detailed financial model for use in discussions with strategic partners, investors, and potential off-takers, highlighting scalability and economic viability- Built a customized Scope 1 & 2 GHG life cycle assessment (LCA) tool to quantify H2 carbon intensity for Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS), Carbon Credits, and IRA 45V/45Q tax credits- Led data-driven site selection analysis for new production plants, evaluating factors including real estate value, infrastructure, power availability, supply logistics, geology, tax incentives, off-take opportunities, local regulations, and overall construction economics.
