Established in 2008 & originally known as AIGA, the Asian Institute of Design (AID) has been a pioneer in the forefront of Gaming education. This is a part of our mission to make design education accessible, focusing on employability & a relatable student experience. The faculty at AID is a blend of academic excellence and industry expertise, with professionals who have worked with top-tier companies like Dreamworks, Technicolor, Xentrix & Plastic Water Labs. Our strong placement record speaks for itself, with alumni successfully joining companies such as Zynga, DNEG, MPC, Rockstar, Technicolor, & Ubisoft. AID alumni have made contributions to title games like GTA V, FIFA, Red Dead Redemption, Call of Duty, & movies like Batman vs Superman, Fast & Furious & Oscar-winning movies like The Jungle Book & The Lion King. The AID leadership, with seasoned global educational expertise, established MECIT, the first fully IT-focused college in the Gulf, & is now broadening its scope to include technology and management education, aiming to become a technology university soon.
