I am an educator, writer, and curriculum leader committed to expanding access, equity, and expression across both the classroom and the culture. My work bridges education, media, and advocacy. I design professional development for Houston ISD, teach music business at Houston Community College, and oversee editorial strategy at Texas Trend Magazine.I have taught middle and high school students in subjects including science, technology, social studies, and career readiness. I helped lead an online science initiative, developed programs that raised STAAR performance, and supported schools in earning district recognition for digital instruction. As a curriculum coordinator, I coach teachers, create training sessions, and partner with campuses to raise instructional quality.Beyond education, I write and edit for a range of outlets. As editor of Texas Trend Magazine, I manage writers, lead partnerships, and direct special projects. As a freelance journalist and columnist for The Forward Times, I cover culture, food, politics, and music. My bylines include Essence, Houston Press, Eater, The Source, AllHipHop.com, and others.With a background in science, law, and education, I bring a multidisciplinary approach to every project. Whether I am mentoring students, designing curriculum, or telling stories, my mission is to uplift communities, improve systems, and help ideas take root.
