ABOUT DEVARAJAN MYLAPPALLY MAUSIMM

Exploration geologist with more than 35 years of combined experience in geological mapping and exploration with a focus on orogenic-style gold mineralisation. Works on the entire spectrum, from the conceptual target generation to greenfield and brownfield exploration to mineral resource modelling.• Target generation through qualitative interpretation of aero-geophysical (radiometric and magnetic) data by integration with geology, structure, geochemical soil sampling, remote sensing, historical exploration data, alteration mineralogy (spectral and radiometric), etc. Headed the geological interpretation teams for two aero-geophysical blocks for the Geological Survey of India, over parts of central India (Block -3) and over the Cuddapah basin (Block -11).• Strong roots in geological and structural mapping of volcano-sedimentary belts, geological faults, shear zones, active faults, and regolith. Revised the lithostratigraphy of the Mahakoshal belt, a major Palaeoproterozoic greenstone belt of central India.• Led the geological mapping programme of India\'s largest upcoming nuclear power plant site and surrounding areas (Jaitapur, Maharashtra) for evaluating potential faults/active faults. • Preparation of SOPs for planning and executing tasks related to mineral exploration according to global industry practices. This includes logging and sampling of drill chips of RC, auger, and drill core. litho-structural logging, density measurements and QAQC monitoring. • Experienced in successfully setting up the systems and processes for the certification and accreditation of ISO 9001:2015 and QCI-NABET of India. Proud mentor to early-career exploration geologists. • Recent projects: 1) a resource drilling programme of nearly m of combined DDH and RC drilling and feasibility studies of the Jonnagiri gold project, Andhra Pradesh, India\'s only private sector gold mine; 2) a resource drilling programme for gold in the Lake Victoria Gold Field, Tanzania (JORC); 3) drilling and resource estimation for bauxite in Odisha, India, for a state PSU; 4) resource drilling for bauxite in the Tanane area of Guinea; 5) greenfield exploration and target generation for gold in southern Mali; 6) resource drilling for the Moussobadougou gold project, Burkina Faso, leading to maiden MRE by SLR Consulting, UK.• Active Member: AusIMM, SME, MEAI and SEG.• Director and Principal Consultant at https://goldstandard-exploration.com since January 2026.
