About Devany Garza
Howdy! My name is Devany Garza, and I am a Senior Finance major at Mays Business School. I was born in Richmond, Texas and raised in Monterrey, México where I became a native speaker of both English and Spanish. Coming from abroad and witnessing first-hand the life that my immigrant parents surrendered in order to get our family here is my unwavering drive to continue striving forward. Along with hard work and perseverance, I am someone who values the small virtues that life has to offer such as family, friendships, trust and leaving a legacy. I hope to inspire first-generation students around the world and be a prime example that education can change lives.
