   Designed and developed new features for web applications (FOIAXpress), used by over 200 federal, state and local government agencies across the U.S. and Canada, facilitating the processing of over 1.5 million FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request annually. Developed a Named Entity Recognition (NER) module with the option for users to choose either AWS Comprehend or Stanford CoreNLP to automatically detect and redact sensitive and classified content in federal documents before being released to FOIA requesters. Integrated CoreNLP’s Regex-based NER to let users define custom patterns for redactions with an easy-to-use UI. Led a team of 5 Engineers to add multi-language capabilities for the application within 6 months (English + French) to expand reach in Canada and stay contractually compliant with 12 existing Canadian clients, contributing to approximately 10% of the products revenue. Assisted in the architecture to modernize legacy projects, to improve the systems deployment, scale and performance. Worked on containerizing a legacy.NET application using Docker to streamline deployment and improve environment consistency. Integrated Relativity, a third-party eDiscovery platform, which allowed the company to retain 1 and secure 2 new clients. Resolved 900+ security vulnerabilities using code analysis tools like Fortify, Burp Suite and Qualys, significantly improving compliance. Developed Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for FOIAXpress’s Public facing site, leveraging time-based OTP to enhance user protection and authentication security. Delivered critical incident response for production outages at key federal agencies like NASA, DOD IRS, DOT and more.
