About Devan Depue

My primary goal as a community builder and student affairs practitioner is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where all students—including students from marginalized and underrepresented groups—can thrive. I am very passionate about fostering leadership in students that is both empathetic and reflective, aiming to develop leaders who take the time to understand, connect with, and celebrate the differences of others. Above all else, I want students to learn how to engage respectfully with diverse perspectives, find their home within inclusive communities, and cultivate their sense of purpose as they navigate the collegiate experience and prepare for life post-graduation. I am genuine, empathetic, and a paradigm shifter; all of these qualities make me a dedicated practitioner, one who wants to make a positive, lasting impact on the individual and collective student experience.

   Lead the Office of Residence Life at the Curtis Institute of Music, overseeing residential programs, housing operations,student conduct, and departmental initiatives to foster a safe and inclusive living environment for all students- Supervise and support a team of Resident Assistants and a graduate associate through training, program development, crisis response, and community engagement- Manage on- and off-campus housing logistics, including room assignments, landlord partnerships, policy compliance (Title IX, Clery), budget oversight, and student support services
