If we consider the history of the world, and how it has evolved over time, we come to realize that civilization has been shaped more by technological innovations and disruptive business models than by any social revolution or any such force. The greatest challenges humans have had to confront were overcome not by saints, reformers, emperors or political leaders but by the ingenuity of enterprising merchants, traders and business people. Trade has dictated the course of human history. This reality has fascinated me since childhood, and has informed my career goals.After High School, I chalked out a path for myself to eventually become an influential business leader, and it was clear to me that I should have a sound technical education in order that I may have a full appreciation of the great problems of our age and their possible solutions. Therefore, to acquaint myself with the world of technology, I decided to pursue Engineering in my graduation.Once I had succeeded in becoming an Engineer, an education in Business seemed to be the natural next step. An MBA, in particular, appeared to be a holistic programme that not only helps in knowledge acquisition, but also provides the opportunity and the networking required to achieve it. In today’s world, where forces of change and disruption are becoming dominant, an MBA has become indispensable. SCMHRD being one of India’s best institutions, with an MBA programme that rivals the best in the world seemed like a natural choice for me to make. Now to gauge greater insights into how the industry functions, I am interning at WNS Global Services, where I strive to acquire the knowledge and skills that only a company like WNS, with its unique place in the Global marketplace, can provide.
