With over a decade of experience in the financial services sector, I have developed a passion for financial education and employee engagement, with expertise in the realm of retirement and pension solutions. Currently, I\'m gaining more experience in working with non-profit organizations through coordinating employee volunteer events and grant making. My goal is to learn more about the operations of non-profit organizations and the financial aspects of a foundation.In my most recent role at Pacific Life, I led initiatives that significantly increased the awareness of personal finance concepts for participants, students, and employees. This role honed my skills in strategy development and the execution of comprehensive education programs that underscore the importance of saving for retirement and lifetime income.Additional relevant experience includes:Benefits Finance Manager at DIRECTV: I managed the annual actuarial valuation of the pension plan, directed the financial audits, and oversaw the government filings. Working on the corporate side broadened my understanding of employee benefits, particularly the decision-making processes regarding the benefits and associated costs.Pension Consultant at Willis Towers Watson: I directed annual pension actuarial valuations and, as a member of various actuarial teams serving diverse clients, honed my skills in teamwork, organization, and communication, alongside the analytical competencies inherent to actuarial work. Exposure to multiple industries increased my awareness of how employee benefits teams strive to tailor benefits to the needs of their workforces.My diverse background and extensive experience enable me to bring a unique perspective to the financial education industry. I am passionate about financial wellness for all and am always eager to connect with like-minded professionals.
