About Desiree Monique Stefens
I have a Bachelor degree in Psychology, a master\'s degree in Adult and Higher Education and over ten years experience with diverse populations, serving the public and private sector including higher education. I am adaptable, and have worked where both immediate and long term flexibility is as important as the ability to manage simultaneous projects and create solutions. My technical aptitude includes research and presentation tools, accounting, reports and budget management. This professionalism is built upon my objective listening, mediation, curiosity and confidentiality. I network & mentor to share insight, experience and expertise, with over ten years of building consensus and team encouragement for win/win results. Colleagues often describe me as a strategist. I have a lifelong commitment to continued education, personally and professionally. I bring a mindful framework to diversity awareness, bridging cultural backgrounds through compassionate identification of assumptions to advocate for equitable respect and to address systemic oppression. I demonstrate many of these skills through my research, curriculum development, teaching and public presentations through public and private groups. I completed formal facilitator training through Excellence Northwest and coaches training through the Conscious Leadership Group. I also offer human centered design techniques through my LUMA certification, training with Communities of Practice, and Community Engagement Fellows. Software skills: Zoom, Teams, Google Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, video tools, Publisher, payroll, software as service (Salesforce, Slack, Adobe, etc.), eJAS, SPSS, Starfish degree planner, Canvas, online survey tools, open source software, online newsletters, infographics, cloud displays, and more.
