About Desiree Caldwell
As a two-time nationally award-winning educator with over 18 years of highly effective teaching experience, I\'ve devoted my career to bridging the achievement gap for all students, regardless of race, gender identity, or sexual orientation. As an LGBTQ rights advocate and curriculum consultant, I have written affirming, anti-racist curriculum for DC Public Schools, Teach for America, One World Education, and The Smithsonian Learning Lab. Currently pursuing my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Louisiana-Monroe!
