ABOUT DESHAYWN MIDDLETON

I am a dedicated social worker and clinical therapist passionate about mental health, personal growth, and community impact. With experience in individual counseling, crisis intervention, and program development, I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, identity challenges, and youth-related issues. I also incorporate sports and mental health strategies to support athletes in managing performance pressure, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.Currently, I serve as a Staff Counselor at North Carolina Central University, where I support students through counseling, workshops, and crisis management. I provide outreach training in QPR Suicide Prevention, Mental Health First Aid, coping skills, and emotional regulation. Previously, I worked with youth in residential treatment and day programs, providing therapeutic interventions and mentorship.Beyond therapy, I am committed to motivational speaking, life coaching, and consulting, using my background in athletics and mental health to inspire resilience and leadership. As a former college and professional athlete, I understand the connection between mental performance and success on and off the field.I have also organized community events, including Dream The Impossible, Faith-based initiatives, and mental health programs focused on suicide prevention, financial literacy, and personal development. My mission is to empower individuals to build resilience, confidence, and purpose.I believe in the power of discipline, self-reflection, and strategic action—values I apply in my own life and share with those I work with.
