ABOUT DESHAWN FONTLEROY
I help the student athlete that\'s been taken for granted, marginalized, and discounted. To be quite frank, they are tired of feeling shitted and pissed on. I am often the last resort before they quit sports or school. When we meet, they generally have an extreme amount of resentment towards their coaches, fellow athletes, school administrators, and sometimes their own parents. I help channel this energy to constructive uses and purposes. My program helps bridge the gap in communication between student athlete and sports parent and student athlete and coach. My ultimate intention is to help them find their inner-voice through confidence building strategies, empathic listening, and giving them the tools to increase their social intelligence. From there, we approach life with meaningful purpose and and intent. Helping the student-athlete reach their hopes and dreams, overcome pains and fears, and destroy all barriers and limitations is my mission. My mission continues as I work to empower the minds of young athletes. Every student-athlete has a unique perspective, mindset, and motivation. By understanding this, I help overcome obstacles, and prepare them with useful strategies for the obstacles they will face in the future.
