Founded CodEng to get young people excited about technology, in particular creating software, programming robots and understanding the latest developments in “Big Tech”. Courses are offered at schools, after school and on our online CodEng Academy. CodEng also runs summer coding camps in Italy, annually to Silicon Valley to visit the big names in the industry and more recently to Expo Dubai.

Derval O\'Neill is a social entrepreneur and the founder of CodEng, an innovative platform designed to ignite a passion for technology among young minds. With a background in IT and a Master’s in Business Administration, Derval has blended her expertise and enthusiasm to create a unique educational experience. CodEng offers an array of engaging courses that range from video game creation with Unity and C#, Minecraft Education with Python and Pygame, to block programming for younger coders. Students can experiment with chatbot development using OpenAI’s API and learn to program diverse robots and microcontrollers, gaining hands-on experience in electronics, sensors, and motors. Derval is also a four-time Section Leader for Stanford University’s Code in Place initiative, a global program that teaches the fundamentals of Python programming to adults around the world. Derval has blended her expertise and enthusiasm to create a unique educational experience that combines learning with social impact. Under Derval’s leadership, CodEng not only educates but also opens doors to remarkable opportunities for its participants. Students are encouraged to explore the possibilities in technology through weekly meetups discussing the latest industry news, code camps in Silicon Valley, world EXPO trade fairs, and astronaut training at Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama.
