Core responsibilities included liaising with the Electricity National Control Centre, planning outages to within security and quality of supply standards (SQSS), facilitating DNO outages and coordination of whole system activities with directly connected customers such as power stations etc.Studies were mainly conducted on DigSilent Power Factory and consisted of voltage stability analysis, system synchronous stability, demand studies, fault level analysis and reactive power studies.Execution of the engineering project involving Installation & commissioning of electrical equipments such as HT/EHT switchgears consist of Vaccum,SF6, Minimum Oil, Air Blast Circuit breakers Power Transformers, Security Alarms.Maintenance of 110/11KV 10MVA, 12.5MVA,110/33kV 16MVA Power Transformers, UPS, Battery charger with battery bank.Protection system include Microprocessor based relay,ADMS(Advanced Distribution Management system), RTDAS(Real time data acquisition system). Troubleshoots plant electrical problems to determine their cause and recommends options for eliminating such problems. Includes carrying out tests on equipment.Capable of guiding/leading the electrical maintenance team and implementing the best maintenance strategy for the plant including High voltage of 220KV, 110KV, 66KV, 22KV and 11KV system.Condition Monitoring and Predictive maintenance of critical equipment and corrective actions to avoid breakdown.Planning for resources and manpower for planned shutdown of the plant and execution including start-up.Daily Power monitoring, calculations and reporting at monthly basis.Installing and commissioning of different Types of Control and Relay panels.Identifying and reporting of different faults on power system equipments and feeders based up on relay indications and annunciation to the higher authorities.Issuing Permit to work, isolation certificates and Non-back feeding assurance for safety work on several Feeders and equipments like Transformers, Circuit breakers etc.
