About Derrick Foos
As a Cloud Engineer at Hyland, I am part of a compute focused infrastructure team responsible for the Hyland Cloud, a secure and scalable platform that hosts multiple applications and data for thousands of customers worldwide. With 10+ years of experience in IT engineering and architecture, I have developed a strong expertise in cloud and automation technologies, such as AWS, Terraform, PowerShell, and Citrix. I have designed and managed IT systems within VMware and AWS, performed various DevOps tasks for Hyland\'s Edge product, and created PowerShell scripts and automation to assist with colocation to AWS migrations. I have also contributed to the architecture and engineering of Citrix solutions, such as VDI deployments, NetScaler, and XenDesktop/XenApp. I have leveraged my Citrix knowledge and skills to perform as a team SME and provide L1 and L2 mentoring and leadership. My mission is to deliver reliable, efficient, and secure cloud infrastructure and automation solutions that enable Hyland and its customers to achieve their business goals and objectives. I am passionate about learning new technologies and best practices, and collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to solve complex IT challenges.
