KPI and profit & loss analysis are useful tools in the arsenal, but face time with those in the trenches is vital to developing the team in their current roles and as future leaders of the organization.Complete Safety is of the utmost importance. Nothing kills morale quicker than workplace injuries or product safety issues. Holding an OSHA 30 hour certificate is important, but leading by example carries a lot of weight with the team. Cutting corners is never an option as integrity is a crucial ingredient for a leader.Accomplishments:*Developed location specific goals by working with the sales manager and achieved increased gross margins by lowering ingredient costs by 6% and manufacturing costs by 12%. All was achieved through non-capital means and looking inward at processes and simply making adjustments.*Championed a capital project to increase ingredient receiving volume due to substantial increase in sales.$2.3 million budget was met and on time. Worked alongside operators to write new SOP and were able to achieve an improvement which saved over $600k annually in premiums and demurrage costs for a payback of <4 years.*Spearheaded a trial with Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) as a pilot site.
