Power systems, electrical engineering and electric power are among my areas of focus as a senior electrical engineer in Burns & McDonnell’s Transmission & Distribution division. The majority of my responsibilities lie in transmission line and substation design, and I have experience with both large programs and individual projects, a varied range of work that’s given me an extensive background in the permitting, design, procurement and construction of high voltage transmission.In addition to helping Burns & McDonnell deliver world-class solutions for our clients, I’ve developed my experience using tools that keep projects moving forward in an efficient and cost-effective manner. OneTouchPM, an integrated 3-D program management tool, has been an important addition to six larger program or EPC projects on which I\'ve worked. OneTouchPM can be customized to fit the needs of each specific project, and gives us the ability to share information with project team members that include Burns & McDonnell employees and clients. OneTouchPM can perform an array of applications, including preliminary engineering review, accessing road development plans, construction status monitoring and public presentations. When I’m not exploring ways to help our clients creatively solve problems, I enjoy playing golf, as well as spending time with my family and friends. In my twelve years with the Kansas City-based engineering, architecture, construction, environmental and consulting solutions firm, the majority of my responsibilities have been in transmission line and substation design. I have experience with both large programs and individual projects, a varied range of work that’s given me an extensive background in the permitting, design, procurement and construction of high voltage transmission.Although my engineering skills are undoubtedly a great resource when completing projects, I’ve also developed experience with several tools that help keep projects moving forward in an efficient manner. One such tool, OneTouchPM, has been an important addition to six projects I’ve worked on, all of which are either larger program or EPC projects.
