Currently provide health and safety oversight and management support on Shell Oil\'s largest and most complex environmental remediation project, which includes the excavation of subsurface contaminants and the installation of remediation systems around residential properties.• Lead daily toolbox safety meetings, blue-zone sessions, and report on relevant health & safety matters.• Visit project site on a routine basis, carry out safety audits and take necessary actions to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory agencies.• Provide regular reports to the Health and Safety Director on relevant health and safety activities.• Ensure each project meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.• Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.• Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.• Ensure the preparation and implementation of JSA’s and Site Safety and Health Plans (SSHP).• Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.• Participate in relevant development activities and develop new skills and competencies to meet the changing needs of the environmental and construction industry; assist in the training and mentoring of new employees including Shell’s 12 Life Saving Rules training.
