Given the proximity of Fraud and Financial Crime Risks, my team’s role is expanding to include control business partnering services for Financial Crime Risk, leveraging and expanding the services the team currently provides for Fraud Risk globally. Additional duties include but aren’t limited to:• Designed and oversaw implementation of a “Return-to-Satisfactory” strategy uplifting both U.S. Financial Crime and Fraud control environment ratings from “Needs Improvement,” • Monitoring control issues related to both Fraud and Non-Fraud Financial Crimes to ensure timely closures and compliant sustainable outcomes, • Develop/Enhance Quantitative & Qualitative Financial Crime KI’s, KPI’s, and KRI’s to accurately measure and communicate control effectiveness, • Providing guidance to Business Units and Functions for setting Risk Tolerances, • Review and Approve financial crime risk acceptance,• Identifying opportunities to enhance risk controls,• Self-identifying and closing gaps in control coverage,• Establishing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships at senior management level,• Lead process efficiency/assurance reviews to drive better (more focused) risk reduction strategies, • Sitting Member of Barclays’ Financial Crime Oversight Committee, • In first 6 months with Barclays, re-organized and closed 12 related, regulatory issues with reporting requirements to the FDIC that were overdue for over 2 years
