Serves in the Durham VISN 6 Shared Services Unit as a leader in Recruitment, Pre-employment and On-Boarding efforts. Provides direct customer service, personal mastery, accurate tracking of work product, and HR modernization functions to the Medical Center staff to include Central Virginia regions of the network. In support of the Executive Leadership Team, provides hands on/ face to face efforts with New Employee Orientation provided to more than 600+ newly hired staff which entails I-9 verification, payroll administration, sponsorship, employee occupational health clearance, background clearance, and credentialing verifications. Critical impacts included support and staffing of the newly opened Garner VA facility, which provides support to over Veterans covering Wake County and surrounding areas, further supporting the VA\'s efforts to provide accessible, high quality care for its Veterans. Job functions require successful employment of major HRIS tools to include USA Staffing, HR Smart, Financial Services Center/ Customer Relationship Management (payroll system), E-Verify, and US Access Programs, VA Sharepoint, Microsoft Teams, and Webex. Mastery of these functions enabled the VISN 6 SSU team first place in the VHA On Time Challenge of 2024-25, scoring in the top five of three categories of Hiring Manager Customer Satisfaction Survey Results.Proven force multiplier by building partnerships with key stakeholders: Personnel Security, Employee Occupational Health, VA Office of Information Technology, Education and Benefits professionals. Supports Strategic Business Unit yearly programming efforts in onboarding the best and most qualified Nursing, Pharmacy, Psychology residents and students to support the VA mission.
