ABOUT DERRIC MCINTOSH

With over two decades of experience in Aerospace Quality and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), including military, corporate, and contract work, I have built a strong foundation in the field. My journey began in the United States Air Force, where I spent four years as an NDT Inspector, honing my skills and embracing the Air Force core values such as integrity first, service before self, excellence in all we do, and attention to detail.Transitioning to the corporate sector, I spent ten years at Venture Aerobearings, a partnership between GE Aviation and SKF Aeroengines, where I served as a Non-Destructive Testing Level In this role, I managed the NDT program for two facilities and trained and certified Level II inspectors. I conducted internal and external audits, implemented Lean/Six Sigma tools, performed root cause analyses, and engaged in hundreds of root cause investigations. Additionally, I held a leadership position as a Program Leader, responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules and coaching and empowering my team members to be self-directed and strategic.Throughout my career, I have exemplified desirable leadership qualities, drawing from my time at Venture Aerobearings and GE Aviation. However, it is my foundational experience in the United States Air Force that has shaped my decision-making and interactions, aligning with GE\'s leadership values of humility, transparency, and focus. My dedication to these values, along with my technical expertise and commitment to excellence, make me a competent and successful leader in the aerospace industry.
