ABOUT DERRELL FRAZIER

Derrell Frazier is an experienced Social Justice & Movement Strategist with a demonstrated history of working in the public & private sector. He has consulted with many public/private entities such as the Annie E. Casey Foundation Juvenile Justice Strategy Group Youth Advisory Council, Commission to Decriminalize Poverty Youth Group, Urban Institutes Juvenile Probation Policy Scan and Workforce/Juvenile Justice Program Scan, Columbia University Justice Lab Emerging Adults Justice Project, U.S. Dream Academy Social Justice Fellowship, Foster America and Serves on the Governor’s Juvenile Justice State Advisory Council Emerging Leaders Group. Lastly, Derrell works with stakeholders on how to properly engage underrepresented communities and the most vulnerable populations in an authentic way to develop solutions in an equitable way. I am an influential advocate with experience synthesizing research and personal assessments to benefit communities. I have worked within the legislative process and prize clarity in communication. Investing in others, while managing multiple priorities and influences, is a rhythm I know well. My own background includes challenges, so I have a unique understanding how important adult advocacy and mentorship is. I am passionate about collaborating across community levels to drive progress and impart the tools and progress necessary improve lives. Effectual writing and presentation skills, policy experience, and adept facilitation are among my strengths. I believe in the ability to impact change, have seen it happen, and am ready to write the next chapter.
