About Derreca Sims

As a Human Resources coordinator at Baylor Scott & White institute for rehabilitation, I support the HR team in various tasks, such as being a point of contact on onboarding, trainings, employee relations, and compliance. I have successfully completed multiple projects, such as implementing new processes and procedures, maintain high volume of new hires, and analyze a satisfaction new hire survey. I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor\'s degree in Health Care Administration in Aug 2021. During my studies, I gained valuable skills in time management, critical thinking, and teamwork. I also obtained three certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Google Project Management and QuickBooks Certified User. These certifications demonstrate my ability to apply quality improvement and accounting principles. My goal is to pursue a career in project management. I am passionate about helping people and bringing ingenuity to challenging situations while remaining optimistic and motivating those around me. I am eager to learn from others and expand my network.
