About Deron Grzetich

With over 24 years of experience in cyber security, Deron has developed expertise across diverse industries, including oil & gas/energy, healthcare & life sciences, financial services, manufacturing, transportation, hospitality, private equity/M&A, and legal/professional services firms. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois-Chicago and an MS in Computer, Network, and Information Security from DePaul University. Deron currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the law firm of Paul Hastings LLP.In addition to his professional work, Deron is also passionate about giving back to his community. He volunteers as a Solar System Ambassador (SSA) for NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, collaborating with NASA mission scientists to share space science with local communities. He also teaches graduate-level courses on information and network security at DePaul University, helping to prepare future professionals for success in this rapidly evolving field.When he\'s not working or volunteering, Deron can often be found coaching youth hockey for the Chicago Stallions at the 12U level. As a certified USA Hockey coach, he enjoys using his skills and experience to help young players develop both on and off the ice.
