About Derek Vance
I’ve been extremely blessed with professional and personal success as a healthcare executive for the past 25 years. Much of that success has been due to excellent coaches and mentors that I have engaged with along the way. As a Chair with Vistage, I am dedicating more of my time and energy to give back- to be a coach and a mentor to other executives. I bring a wealth of experience to the table, having served as a CEO in both For-Profit and Non-Profit hospital settings. I have demonstrated strengths in developing strong employee and physician engagement, patient experience results, operations management, and service line growth and development. As a former CEO and now a Vistage Chair, my commitment remains unwavering: to leverage my experience and insights to empower fellow leaders. I lead a private, peer-advisory group of Lincoln-area CEOs that come together to solve problems and grow their businesses. Additionally, I make it a point to meet one-on-one with each CEO every month, offering tailored guidance and support.

As a Vistage Chair I guide a group of small and midsize business CEOs in monthly discussions to help identify and solve their most challenging business and personal problems in a trusted group of team members. I also coach each of my members in monthly 1:1s to provide insights and resources to confront challenges head-on. The Vistage method is a proven path of leadership that was forged over 65 years ago and has been traveled by top business leaders around the world!
