About Derek Monn

I am a recent MBA grad that pursued emphases in General Management and Marketing. Through my coursework and experiences I have really gained a passion for being able to understand consumer profiles, including using analytics to garner additional insights. I enjoy being able to separate a large pool of consumers into several unique consumers profiles, based on demographics, usage situation, etc. Digging into the data helps provide me with the understanding of each of these groups and to define their story to others. It also provides input on how a brand (or company) can best share it\'s value proposition with each specific group.

   Provide detailed cost estimates and other services to multiple Federal Government clients• Estimate all disciplines in all design phases for complex projects up to $125M in MII (MCASES) software• Develop detailed design and construction schedules for projects using Microsoft Project• Lead Cost and Schedule Risk Analyses (CSRAs) process by identifying project risks with client, quantifying potential cost and schedule impacts, and developing full reports using Monte Carlo simulations• Supervise, provide support to, and review completed work of junior estimators as needed• Collaborated with NAVFAC personnel, clients, and internal team to develop new deliverable process for providing estimates and review of proposal for contract negotiations• Gather cost data including labor rates, equipment rates for various CONUS and OCONUS locations
