   Lead a team of 17 associates and plan, coordinate, and monitor the overall operations of SBA Underwriting, Closing and Portfolio Management, including tracking and monitoring loan origination, underwriting, processing, closing, servicing and liquidation progress against established plans and objectives- Ensure compliance with bank, regulatory and SBA requirements in terms of documentation and underwriting quality and standard- Keep the SOP up-to-date and provide/assign SBA program, product, and process trainings to associates on an ongoing and consistent basis- Develop and update procedures, checklists, credit memorandum, reports, forms and templates to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness in terms of loan processing- Prescreen SBA applications to evaluate if they are doable and determine if the applications meet SBA eligibilities and credit standard- Review credit memorandums and cash flow analyses completed by SBA Underwriting Team, and approve/decline the loans within the granted approval authority limit up to $3MM- Review loan files completed by SBA Processing and Closing Team to ensure the documentation requirements are complied and followed in accordance with SOP and Loan Authorization- Provide guidance and instructions to underwriting and closing teams when questions are raised. Conduct research including sending email to SBA 7(a) Questions when answers cannot be found from SOP or other sources- Monitor pipeline and funding reports, and build dashboards- Prepare for SBA PARRiS Review and SBA Desk Audit, and respond questions from examiners or auditors- Coordinate with SBA to renew PLP status for the bank biannually- Manage four subordinate managers who supervise others throughout the department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
