About Derek Potratz
I have a strong interest in the research and technology that drives modern agriculture. I grew up working on my family\'s cash cropping farm near Oshkosh, WI, where I gained interest in the diverse field of production agriculture. I then attended the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, where I received my BS in Soil and Land Management with a certificate in GIS. My interest in research while at UW-Stevens Point and as a summer crop scout guided my decision to continue education at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where I studied under Dr. Shawn Conley - Wisconsin Extension Soybean and Small Grains Specialist. In my current role as Director of Research at Tilth Agronomy, I am excited to continue researching ways to improve modern agriculture for farmers and consumers alike!
