Working as the network and security subject matter expert within the Chief Technology Office (CTO) to provide technical guidance, architecture, and design in alignment with industry best practice standards and frameworks. Key member of the IT senior management team to provide strategic planning, risk management, major incident response and cybersecurity assurance and guidance.Duties include (but not limited to):• Working closely with the CTO to understand business requirements/securing budgets and translating that to viable solutions and getting director/board level approvals• Writing the medium to long term network and security strategies; Strategy realization and roadmap; Research into new technologies; Maintaining a technology radar• End-to-end security gap analysis and remediation; Promotes vulnerability/patch management and penetration testing for control verification and validation• Solution design and testing; Proof of concepts against success criteria and implementation plans• Collaboration with stakeholders to drive common goals; Peer review of security related policies and procedures; Assessing and enhancing network standards and security policies to improve change management and security posture; Engagement with vendors to ensure best practice configurations• Building and maintaining good relations with internal and external stakeholders• Technical owner of network and security policies; Technical design authority• Provide support/assurance to business, IT, IG and SMT stakeholders; Provide guidance around accreditations and frameworks• Initiating proposals and business justification for enhancing network security architecture in line with HES strategy; Assisting in procurement and tender exercises and response for network and security considerations, purchases and other projects; Writing, reviewing and scoring tender responses• HES representative within national SWAN Management Board; Member of the SWAN Technical Design Authority (TDA)
