About Derek Brown

Derek Brown is a 30-year veteran in health care, academic medicine, and community health who’s held leadership roles in institutional advancement at the Medical University of South Carolina, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, University of South Carolina Health Sciences, and HopeHealth, Inc, a Collaborative Partner of MUSC. Throughout his career, Derek and his teams have secured over $400 million to advance research, education, and medical care. An expert in strategy, development, and grateful patient fundraising, he has also enjoyed a distinguished career in public health and is a member of the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health.
