As part of a large-scale data migration project, I analysed several dozen legacy finance-related apps written in Access VBA and.NET in order to plan the migration in stages of ledgers to a target Workday systemI also worked on a project to reconcile migrated data against pre-migrated data to ensure that reports functioned identically post-migration. My achievements included:• Analysing thousands of lines of code (VBA, SQL.NET) to understand functionality in legacy apps and how they could be decommissioned and migrated in stages without impairing the remaining functionality• Running and analysing legacy apps in a test environment• Interviewing users and writing detailed documentation about current processes• Planning and writing up future processes and describing them in process diagrams• Analysing and reconciling disparate datasets using complex SQL queries and Excel
