Derek Schuster is an Advertising/Public Relations major at Penn State with a minor in Digital Media Trends & Analytics, and he believes that the best brands are the ones that work on genuine connection. For Derek, every marketing campaign or advertisement is an opportunity to connect people to brands, and give a positive brand image to viewers.As a Lion Ambassador, Derek has worked behind the scenes and in the spotlight to help Penn State’s story come alive. From leading campus tours to designing recruitment materials that capture the essence of the organization, he has learned how to craft messages and get them to the right audiences.Outside of his work and studies, Derek loves playing ice hockey, running, and spending time outdoors. He values teamwork and growth, always looking for ways to learn and make a meaningful contribution. Derek believes that digital marketing is not just about metrics or clicks, it’s about resonating with the audience.
