Dr. Derek Phillips is a licensed clinical and prescribing psychologist in the State of Illinois, a licensed psychologist in Florida, and double board-certified in psychopharmacological psychology and medical psychology. He is Director of of Psychiatry at Arcus Behavioral Health & Wellness in Chicago, IL. He completed a one-year predoctoral internship in clinical psychology and two-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Psychological and Neurobehavioral Services, P.A. in Lakeland, FL. Dr. Phillips was a Health Service Psychologist in the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program through the Department of Health & Human Services from 20••••21. In 2020, he became executive director of the APA-designated M.S. in clinical psychopharmacology (MSCP) program at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he is also an adjunct professor and teaches psychopharmacology in the APA-accredited clinical psychology PhD program.He earned his Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in clinical psychology with a concentration in clinical neuropsychology from the APA-accredited Adler University-Chicago campus in 2015. Dr. Phillips completed his postdoctoral Master of Science (M.S.) in clinical psychopharmacology at Fairleigh Dickinson University\'s APA-designated MSCP program in 2020 and then completed an 18-month prescribing psychology residency at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in 2021.Dr. Phillips is a former member of the APA Council of Representatives, chair of the APA Board of Convention Affairs, president of APA Division 55, president of the Illinois Psychological Association, and treasurer of APA Division 44. He is currently founding president of the American Board of Psychopharmacological Psychology, vice chair of the Illinois Clinical Psychologists Licensing & Disciplinary Board, chair of the Behavioral Medicine & Neuropsychology Section of the Illinois Psychological Association, member of the American Psychological Foundation Board of Trustees, president-elect of APA Division 42, chair of the APA RxP Designation Committee, member of the APA Coding Advisory Group, and member-at-large of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of Prescribing Psychologists. He is a fellow of the American Psychological Association and Illinois Psychological Association.
