About Derek McMullen

My name is Derek McMullen and I am currently a principal Performance Optimization Specialist at PPD, a Thermo Fisher Scientific company. I bring change management expertise to my field, and an array of skills dedicated to what I\'d like to coin Decentralized Change Management Digital Transformation Systems(c). I am also a partner at my own company, McMullen Coaching and Consulting, LLC. Our mission is to empower others to achieve their best by opening the windows to a more fulfilling life. We do this by providing Brené Brown\'s Dare to Lead course as well as individual, executive and team coaching services. In the world where so much is dedicated to project management, HR, finance, forecasting, scheduling, planning and budgeting - change management development is often lost and considered a lower priority. Communications, training, coaching, org development, org design, cost and risk analysis, etc. are all important as well. I like to bring app and systems development along with data science to change management. This is all possible through Power BI, Power Apps, Microsoft Flow and SharePoint and translating features into business benefits. My career interests include Change Management, Organizational Development, Talent Management, Training, Leadership Development, and/or Executive Coaching. Some of my peers have described me as practicing strategic intent, patience and objective inclusion, and they are right! I strive to focus on advocating the \'power of choice\', smooth transitions, stakeholder and sponsor buy-in, and diversity and inclusion.
