ABOUT DEREK MAYTUBBY

I am a Global Turnaround Event Manager at LyondellBasell, one of the largest plastics, chemicals, and refining companies in the world. In this role, I lead the planning, execution, and closure of complex and high-value turnaround events across multiple sites and regions, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. I also leverage my previous experience as a Turnaround Construction Leader and a Capital Project Manager, where I managed multi-disciplinary teams and delivered large-scale projects on time and within budget. Some of my core competencies include project management, risk management, stakeholder management, contract management, and problem-solving. I am passionate about applying my management skills to optimize the performance and reliability of industrial assets, while also contributing to the sustainability and innovation goals of the organization. I am motivated by the opportunity to work with diverse and talented teams, learn from different perspectives and experiences, and create value for the customers and the society.
