Leadership and line management of Microbiology department (R&D and QC) ensuring compliance with FDA, MHRA, CTMP and HSE regulations.Lead contact for compliance audits within Microbiology including MHRA and FDAConducting GMP / compliance audits of contract laboratories and third party manufacturers both in the UK and internationally. Working with other RB sites in Europe providing microbiological and GMP guidance and support for projects and manufacturing.Managing working relationships with contract laboratories to ensure provision of a quality, cost effective and timely service.Interview and selection of personnel including permanent, temporary and student placements to meet the developing needs of the department. Implementation of new testing regimes and technologies for continual improvement of customer service and reduction of costs and lead times.Streamlining of documentation systems to ensure clear and concise communication with customers.Development and validation of testing methodologies used to provide data to support product claims. Approval of microbiological data and reports.Testing of feasibility and stability samples using various microbiological methods including preservative efficacy and microbial quality
