ABOUT DEREK KUNZ
Creative thinker. Relationship builder. Arts advocate. Relentless achiever. As an Account Executive at Ludus, the leading all-in-one ticketing platform for performing arts organizations, I thrive where innovation meets human connection. I bring a solutions-first, people-centered mindset to everything I do—working hand-in-hand with arts organizations to help them grow, thrive, and better serve their communities. With my first work anniversary coming up in July 2025, I can honestly say I’ve never been more excited to watch a company evolve and succeed. What drives me? I genuinely love the arts and the people who make them happen. Supporting performers, educators, and administrators is more than a job—it’s a calling. I’m proud to be part of a team built on honesty, transparency, and meaningful impact, and I strive to embody those values every day.Across every role and industry I’ve worked in, I’ve consistently been a top contributor. From managing the W. Alton Jones waterfront at the University of Rhode Island (five years, zero close calls) to rising through the ranks in the culinary world—from dishwasher to shift manager—I’ve always brought reliability, accountability, and heart to the table. In 2021, I earned my MA in Theatre from Binghamton University, and soon after took my first full-time role in tech sales at On The Stage (OTS). There, I quickly rose to the top of the sales leaderboards and was promoted to Mid-Market SDR within my first few months—an experience that solidified my passion for connecting people with tools that help them thrive.Outside of my day job, I’m building a nonprofit with my wife, Voices of Change Project, which aims to make arts education in voice, dance, and theatre accessible to families who can’t afford traditional programs. It’s a labor of love rooted in equity, creativity, and the belief that the arts change lives. As new opportunities arise—and even with a busy family life—I do my best to seize the day. Right now, I’m acting in short films with a local artist, helping develop and direct a new musical, and working on a personal project I hope to announce in the summer of 2026.When I finally find some downtime, you’ll catch me reading, writing, getting lost in a good video game, or enjoying a smooth glass of whiskey.Always open to connecting with creatives, collaborators, and changemakers.
