Directs and coordinates activities of the day to day operations of the facility in an industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers-Manages the departmental managers who in turn supervise department personnel of the facility. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the facility. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization\'s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities also include interviewing, addressing complaints, problem solving, and coordination of the financial and political responsibilities of the plant-Works closely with plant management to provide a safe and healthy work environment by taking an active role in the plant\'s safety programs and goals-Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan facility operations-Actively works to insure safety, efficiency, quality, scrap MUV, labor productivity, and unscheduled downtime goals are met-Plans production to ensure customer deadlines are met-Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications-Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and delivery problems-Controls the financial spending of all departments-Develops and revises standard operational and working practices and observes managers to ensure compliance with standards-Works with Maintenance Manager to insure PM\'s are conducted according to the schedule-Reviews production reports and works with Engineering, Quality, and Materials Managers to resolve operational, manufacturing, and delivery issues-Responsible for the overall morale of the facility.
