About Derek Harris
I am an experienced commercial litigator who partners with clients to craft strategies tailored to achieve clients\' business goals. My practice focuses on insurance coverage and bath faith litigation and product liability and personal injury defense. I also have extensive experience with antitrust, business torts, class action, construction, and real estate litigation.I have been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America, Commercial Litigation (20••••25), named by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as a \"40 Under 40 Up & Comer\" and by Florida Trend’s as a “Up & Comer,” and I have received the On the Rise Award and Most Effective Lawyer Award from the Daily Business Review. I served for many years as a board member and an extended term as the board chair for Boys Town South Florida. Boys Town South Florida opened in 1991 and provides a variety of In-Home Family ServicesSM to assess children’s needs and keep struggling families together. Trained Boys Town South Florida Family Consultants work in the homes of families to enhance parenting skills and make sure children are safe. The site also is part of Primary Project, which is available in select Palm Beach County elementary schools. Project goals include improving students’ adjustment to school and enhancing their social and emotional well-being.
