Responsible to the EMEA HSSES VP and also to the Senior VP for UK Operations (Operated Assets, Upstream (EPC) and Process & Energy) for the provision of timely advice and guidance on all matters pertaining to Health, Safety, Security and where appropriate Environment and Sustainability with respect to Legislation, Company Policy and Management System and Client requirements.Responsible for the overall management of the UK HSSE Operational team.Provide strategic advice and guidance to UK SVP and their Service Line VPs on all HSSE-related matters.Rolling-out of ‘Group’ HSSE annual objectives and initiatives and development of Wood HSSE objectives.Providing support to Service Line HSSE teams in the development and roll-out of Corporate HSSE objectives and other initiatives.Providing resource and support to Service Lines for incident and accident investigations through the use of an appropriate Investigation process (e.g. Taproot or Kelvin-Top Set)Monitoring ‘best-practice’ and developing ‘leading-edge’ HSSE initiatives as appropriate to the business.Supporting Service Line HSSE teams in the timely delivery of both leading and lagging HSSE Indicators.Undertaking lagging indicator reviews of incident/accident trends and providing timely advice to Corporate Management on actions and initiatives. Advising EMEA HSSES VP, UK SVP and Service Line VPs on HSSE professional matters pertaining to the respective Service Lines.Providing mentorship and training for graduate/new recruits into the UK HSSE team.Providing cross-Service Line support as required.
