I am a former Trial Attorney with the Department of Justice, Civil Fraud Section. While at the DOJ, I worked on numerous complex fraud cases under the False Claims Act and the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989 (FIRREA), recovering more than $5 billion for the taxpayers through my matters. My cases involved alleged fraud in a variety of sectors, including health care, government contracting, small business administration loans, mortgage lending, banking, foreign exchange trading, and more.I have since returned to private practice and represent clients across a wide range of industries facing investigations or litigation by the Department of Justice under the False Claims Act, FIRREA, and related statutes. Having worked as a litigator for many years at an Am Law 50 ranked firm, I also bring my litigation experience to bear representing clients in a wide range of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, securities fraud, common law fraud, fraudulent inducement, and breach of fiduciary duty.I frequently publish articles on the False Claims Act and FIRREA, and serve as a speaker at national conferences, as well as an expert witness regarding the False Claims Act and FIRREA.
