About Derek Abbott

My lab utilizes molecular, chemical and synthetic biology to study innate immune and inflammatory signaling pathways. Dysfunction of these pathways contributes to the pathogenesis of diseases such as Crohn\'s disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Sarcoidosis, Multiple Sclerosis and Psoriasis. We aim to understand this dysfunction to identify key targets for pharmaceutical intervention with an emphasis on kinase targets and E3 ubiquitin ligase targets.
