I started my career in technology in the early Nineties, back in the days of MSDOS 5.0, Novell 3.12, NT 3.5, Gupta SQL, etc (some of you may remember). This was before the internet had much content and when a library of software and development manuals was commonplace among the skilled computer nerds. Through the years, I have been able to work with a wide variety of software and hardware solutions including: Point of Sale (POS) systems in retail, Dictation/Transcription systems in hospitals, network connected multifunctional devices, electronic document imaging systems (automating paper workflow processes in AP departments, city/county offices and hospitals) and supply chain management/execution systems including ERP, TMS and WMS systems (including warehouse automation). I have seen a lot of change over the years, and I have to say I still love it as much today as I did when I started. There are so many great technologies these days that continue to mold and shape the way we do business, share information or socialize that it is hard not to stay excited if you can keep up. I have been very fortunate throughout my career to have been able to work for some amazing companies and participate in a number of advisory boards that have helped me grow professionally and personally though the interaction with bright and innovative peers. I look forward to seeing what the next twenty years have in store.
