Selected as one of a small cohort of student researchers for the Reach Alliance — a global research and leadership initiative based at the University of Toronto that investigates how to deliver critical services to hard-to-reach populations.Faculty Mentor: Dr. Rebecca Hancock‑Howard (PhD)- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of student researchers and faculty mentors to conduct field-based, impact-oriented research- Investigate barriers and innovative strategies to delivering services (e.g, health, education, financial inclusion) in underserved and marginalized communities- Engage with international partners, stakeholders, and practitioners to translate research insights into actionable policy and practice- Build leadership, field research, and knowledge translation skills through an intensive training and mentorship program.

Denzel Lodge (he/him) Researcher | Epidemiology Student | Global Health Advocate EducationI am currently completing an MPH in Epidemiology with a specialization in Global Health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. My training has equipped me with the tools to navigate both clinical and population-level research, with a strong grounding in methods, equity, and policy.🧪 Working ExperienceI’ve worked across leading academic institutions, including- Reach Alliance, University of Toronto- Centre for Global Health, Dalla Lana School of Public Health- 🧑‍ Canadian Black Scientists Network, University of Toronto- Toronto General Hospital, University Health Network My work spans chronic disease research, infectious disease modelling, and healthcare system economic evaluations—always through a lens that centers people and communities. What Drives MeI’m passionate about the full research cycle—from idea generation, data collection, and analysis, to translating results into policy and action. I believe good research should move beyond the academic sphere and lead to real, measurable improvements in health systems and equity.
